As Bast, she was a Goddess of warfare in ancient Egypt. Eventually, she became Bastet, the protector of the land and of cats, and a Goddess of the full moon. She was known for her mystery and her ferocity. Bastet, the ancient Egyptian Goddess is the sensual embodiment of female sexuality. She represents playfulness, grace, affection, wit - with a touch of protective power, like a lioness.
Her gentle exterior should not be confused as under that surface lays the heart of a fierce predator with a strong will! She takes delight in the arts, culture, and enjoys life to the fullest. Her double feline nature makes her loved and respected by all.
